The article deals with the detailed characteristics of the interactive technologies. There are defined the role and prospects of the use of the interactive technologies in the modern educational process. There is presented the comparative analysis of the interactive technologies and the active teaching methods. The authors reveal the levels of the interactivity, on its basis there is given the nomenclature of the interactive technologies. There is specified the system of the principles of the implementation of the interactive technologies in education.
