The article considers questions of quality management of educational process in a general professional education organization; contradictions are singled out and the category of quality is defined as that of the quality management theory; criteria of efficient educational process management in establishments of secondary vocational training are described and the basic points of the quality management concept considered as a set of direct (guided) and guiding processes affiliated to it are given.
