Theoretical background to substantiation of the filter parameters for purification of biogas

The paper seeks to find the optimal conditions in the process, providing biogas yield with the set properties when the analytical expression of the optimization parameter is unknown. It provides the results of the experiment planning on substantiation of the optimum design parameters of the filter to clean the biogas. The work offers the mathematical model in the form of the equation of regression of the second order which allows to carry out its analysis regarding an extremum for receipt of an optimal variant of a combination of factors in the researched object. The developed mathematical models are in canonical form, which allows to obtain a visual representation of the function at the creation of a corresponding geometric surface in three-dimensional space. The surfaces' analysis allowes to justify the optimal parameters: the efficiency of biogas filter is 8384% when the size of zeolite granules is 11-13 mm, weight of zeolite in the filter is 750 - 800 g and filter height to diameter is 3.0 - 3.3.
