Theoretical overview of the interconnections between the value-sense sphere and identity of international students

In the context of global educational processes, important issues of comprehensive integration of international students in the new educational environment are being mainstreamed. Educational migration has posed a significant application challenge to the higher education system. Informatization of education, migration processes, updating of exchange processes, covid restrictions dictate new conditions for the development of this system. In the context of the existing current developments and support programs, in modern higher education there is an urgent task - external adaptation and internal integration of a foreign student within the framework of multicultural processes. The article presents the theoretical background of research on the formation of values and acculturation strategies, identity among foreign students in the host community. The presented review reveals the need for a systematic analysis of identity characteristics, stages of acculturation, clarification of the specificity of formation and mechanisms of assimilation of values of international students in the conditions of receiving higher education abroad.
