Formation of vocalists’ professional readiness for performing activities in the class of solo folk singing is a complex system process consisting of interrelated elements and subsystems of theoretical and practical orientation. At the same time, this process is directly related to the specifics of folk song performance, which has a special rhythmic organization, often contains dialect vocabulary, can be accompanied by folk dances, has its own means of expression, allows different levels of improvisation depending on the purpose of performance. Author’s songs in folk style - a special category of songs created and stylized by professional composers and poets in strict accordance with the laws of folk songs, recreating folk flavor and ensuring the continuity of ethno-cultural (musical and linguistic) traditions. The theoretical and methodological model of formation of vocalists’ professional readiness for performing activities in the class of solo folk singing consists of four blocks (conceptual-target, theoretical-practical, organizational-technological, evaluative-reflexive) and includes the following interrelated components: purpose, objectives, principles, methods and content of training, stages, pedagogical conditions, diagnostic tools
