This article focuses on the problem of formation of motivation of children to musical activities in preschool institutions, which is treated comprehensively and systematically. The author stresses that motivation is the source activity and the stimulus of the various activities that can be regarded as one particular motive, as a system of motives, as a motivational sphere, which interact with the interests, needs and actual motives. Draws attention to the fact that the pre-school musical-aesthetic education encompasses the problem of formation of motivation (as a pledge of success) in music classes in preschool age whose projection will continue to influence as a whole on the formation of motivation to learn, future students, and to develop their interest in various subjects (academic disciplines). Indicates that the organization of the process of musical-aesthetic education affecting the efficiency of formation of motivation in children in music classes should be based on personal activity, cultural and dialogic approaches.
