Journalism theory in Russia: new approaches and academic schools

The article considers the problems of the journalism theory in Russia. The author analyzes the experience of generations of Russian researchers, the new approaches, and the status of academic schools. The analysis was performed in comparison with the traditions and basic concepts of foreign studies in journalism, media and communications.
