Today in the sphere of the development of school education one of the most significant problems is the need for a qualitative improvement in the knowledge of the English language. The problem of finding effective methods and methods of teaching a foreign language is very urgent. The teacher faces an important problem of finding new motivating factors of education, improving the quality of education. But how to make a lesson on the one hand, effective, and on the other - fascinating?
Various educational technologies are used to develop students' creative abilities and to develop communicative communication skills: training in cooperation, project methodology, game methodology, information and communication technologies, problem training.
For several years I have been working on CMD, based on the project teaching methodology, the main purpose of which is to master the skills and skills in the process of creative independent work. The idea of the method of projects for teaching a foreign language is to shift the emphasis from various types of exercises to active thinking activity of students. It is important for the teacher not only to form a system of knowledge and skills of students, but also to promote his development as a person capable of thinking, reasoning, evaluating. This is the goal of the project methodology: to involve all students in the work, offering each task, taking into account their language training, to reveal its creative potential, to bring it to a new level of communication.
The project is the research work of students, the formulation of the problem and an active search for its solution. To prepare and protect your project, students must master certain intellectual, creative and communicative skills - the ability to work with the text, find and highlight the main thing, analyze information, make generalizations and conclusions, work with reference material, vocabulary, the Internet. What I particularly like about the project methodology is that it can be used for almost any topic, at any stage of training. It can be connected both with the country of the studied language, and with the country of residence. Students are focused on comparing and comparing events, phenomena, facts from the history and life of people of different countries.
So, when preparing the project "My family tree" the students compiled a description, schematically represented their pedigree. In the process of work, the children had a need to make an excursion into the historical roots of their pedigree and most fully characterize their relatives. Work on projects showed how unexpectedly children can show themselves, show knowledge of English, their organizational skills and hidden talents.
Among the trends of modern society, one can be traced which can not be overlooked: it is the ubiquitous computerization and informatization of many areas of life. And, of course, the educational process did not escape this. And this is not accidental: after all, the introduction of information technology can improve the efficiency of activities, as well as diversify it. Today, the introduction of modern educational technologies in the teaching process is available to every teacher, it is only necessary to set a task to interest children, create situations for their creative activity. There is a wide variety of disks, electronic textbooks, multimedia training programs, the use of which leads to high results, improves the quality of the educational process. In the lessons I use the teaching computer program "Professor Higgins". It is useful at all stages of teaching English and combines two independent courses: a course of phonetics and a grammar course. The phonetics course is designed for those who want (regardless of the initial level of knowledge) to learn to understand English speech and learn English pronunciation. The grammar course is presented in the form of interactive exercises. The theoretical part contains rules and diagrams explaining the examples. In practical - fixing exercises. The abundance of illustrations helps to assimilate various grammatical constructions.
The use of information technology contributes to the improvement and improvement of the quality of the educational process, the enrichment of the arsenal of methodological tools and techniques that allow diversifying the forms of work and making the lesson interesting and memorable for students.
Equally important and significant is the technology of cooperation, the main idea of which is to learn together, and not just do something together! Practice shows that together learning is not only easier and more interesting, but also much more effective. And it is important that this effectiveness concerns not only the academic success of students, their intellectual development, but also moral. They learn to help a friend, solve all problems together, share the joy of success.
Using the technology of cooperation, you can perform tasks of a grammatical nature, tasks for checking the homework, working on the text for reading, working together on the project, spelling skills, work on vocabulary. In my practice, I most often use this technology in reading text . Simply reading and translating a large text, answering questions to it, finding the necessary information is sometimes boring and uninteresting for students. Not all students will be happy to participate in this work. The technology of cooperation helps to solve these problems.
Problem training is a learning process, determined by a system of problem situations, which is based on a special kind of interaction between the teacher and students. The technology of problem training is based on the creation of problem motivation and is a system of teaching methods in which students gain knowledge not by memorizing and remembering them in a finished form, but as a result of thinking work to solve problems and problem problems built on the content of the material being studied. In the lesson, I try to create a problematic situation, which is a cognitive difficulty, for the overcoming of which students must acquire new knowledge or make intellectual efforts
Undoubtedly, the use of modern innovative technologies in the lessons of a foreign language is the key to success in learning and the formation of language competence. The analysis of the work done makes it possible to note that the use of modern innovative technologies affects the results and quality of students' knowledge, and also allows achieving the following tasks:
-
1. Make a disciple a teacher's companion in the process of education and upbringing.
-
2. Use the principles of individualization with the obligatory presence of multilevel tasks.
-
3. To develop communicative competence at all levels.
