The article discusses dental terms formed on the basis of a proper name. Onyms of dental terminology are represented by various types of proper names: anthroponyms - a term contains the name of a discoverer; by toponyms - a term is named after a geographic area. These terms can be divided into several groups: medications with proper names in their composition and terms with proper names, indicating the anatomical structure of the teeth and the pathology of the teeth and oral cavity.
