Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is one of the most common hematological complications of COVID-19 infection. The article presents a case of severe AIHA, which has developed in an elderly man several days after infection with SARS-CoV-2 and was treated with glucocorticosteroids in the form of pulse therapy and per os. Remission of AIHA persists for 3 years. The literature review discusses the pathogenesis, clinical and laboratory dates, principles and results of treatment of AIHA in patients with COVID-19 infection.
