Traditional family in the modern Russian society

The article presents the social and philosophical foundations of the traditional family functioning in the modern Russia. Basing on the study of the typical features of a traditional family, comparison of its principles and values with the features of a modern family, the author concludes that the traditional model of family, updated in accordance with the realities of today, should become a promising model of family relations organization in the Russian society taking into account traditions and mentality of the Russian people, and it will be positively received by the society.
