Th e article is devoted to the expansion of the subject area of the culture and the main methodological aspects of its modern research (the postmodernism, the cultural studies, the economics of the culture), which made it possible to talk about the emergence of the cultural studies on the transdisciplinary level. Th e integrativity of the modern cultural studies makes it possible to over come the narrowly disciplinary approach and avoid the emergence of the methodological confl icts between closely related fi elds of the science in the study of the same subject the culture. Th e formation of the applied level of the research and the inclusion of its resource aspect in the semantic fi eld of the culture allow us to defi ne the modern vector of the cultural studies as the transdisciplinary. Th e transdisciplinarity of the cultural studies relies, fi rst of all, on the transgres sive of the culture itself, which is considered by the authors in the context of the post modern paradigm as the methodological setting that characterizes the rejection of any set frames, boundaries and involves movement through them. Th e culture is interpreted as a fi nishing touch that allows you to explicitly and accurately characterize the historical, social, political and other phenomena within the particular society. Th is contributes to the expansion of the cognitive strategies of the cultural studies and changes in their vector, indicating the cross cutting (trans disciplinary) nature.
