The article is dedicated to the play Hamlet in Spicy Sauceby the modern Italian playwright Aldo Nicolai. The playwright enters into a cross-cultural dialogue with The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark by W. Shakespeare. The Shakespeare’ s tragedy is reconsidered from the viewpoint of its supposed minor characters, namely, kitchen servants. The main attention is paid to the reinterpretation of the famous Shakespeare’ s metaphor that is All the World’ s a Stageand to the mechanism of creating a minority drama.
