This paper considers the main concepts of transhumanism in the fiction of the latest period (mainly post-cyberpunk) using the example of the literary work of Ramez Naam. The writer has received a number of prestigious awards for his debut in the field of transhumanist literature. At the same time, he is an IT specialist, the author of courses on clean energy and climate change at Singularity University, and a developer of software for research in the field of nanotechnology. One of the main topics disclosed in R. Naam's fiction is the development of the brain computer neurointerface “man - machine” and “man - machine - man” as the creation of a global connection or a technical analogue of planetary thinking. The paper also presents a critical analysis of the methods and technologies promoted by transhumanists. Conclusions are drawn on the dominance of imaginary and highly reduced ideas that are far from the real way of technologies development considered in the literature.
