The article is devoted to complex research of translatological features of the concept “breakfast” of German and Russian gastronomic discourse. The detailed analysis of translatological features of the gluttonic communication genres cookbook and menu, which are directly embodied in the concept “breakfast”, enables to come to the conclusion that there is a predominant use of such translatological transformations in the translation of the texts of gluttonic discourse in respect to the concept “breakfast” as omission and transcribing. Translation techniques of pragmatic adaptation and generalization are used less frequently in relation to the translation of the texts of gluttonic discourse.
