Requirements for modern scientific and pedagogical personnel: the theoretical aspect

This paper considers the problem of requirements for modern scientific and pedagogical personnel. At the moment, due to constant changes in society, the process of reforming the system of training future specialists in the field of education is taking place. This training is carried out while taking into account the requirements of educational systems and society for modern scientific and pedagogical personnel. An analysis of these requirements based on the competence approach allows them to be classified into three interrelated groups, from general requirements for all modern specialists to more specific requirements for the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel. Particular attention is given to key competencies, i.e. requirements that apply to all modern professionals, as they facilitate necessary interactions with specialists from other professional fields in order to solve most pressing and global problems. Then, the requirements for modern scientific and pedagogical personnel as teachers are listed, the implementation of which, according to the authors, is given insufficient attention during their postgraduate studies. Finally, the difficulty in determining the level of compliance of modern scientific and pedagogical personnel with these requirements is noted.
