Tourism as an indicator of quality of life of population: sociological analysis

The topicality of research of the concept "life quality" and its indicators has increased in recent decades. The interest to this subject is growing not only among scientists and researchers but also among politicians. The irreversible processes of internationalization and globalization cause this interest in the first place, and all countries and nations that strive for decent life conditions not only for the future, but also for the current population are involved in these processes. Due to this, the article analyses the concept "life quality" and its indicators, i.e. indices that assess the life quality of the whole population of the country with regards to the national interests of the state. Tourism is considered as one of the indicators of life quality of the modern society. The article comprises the results of the pilot sociological studies conducted among the population of Moscow and Moscow Oblast on the subject of "Tourism as an indicator of life quality of the population of Moscow and Moscow Oblast".
