This article examines the issue of integrating a practice-oriented form of professional competency and skill development – the educational and business game – into the educational process. The study presents this game as a tool for supporting the civilizational political consciousness among a new type of young people who are subjects directly influencing the civilizational development of Russia and taking an active part in this process. It is noted that the profound restructuring of the modern socio-political order of Russia as a civilization-state compels recognition of the need to revise the educational paradigm at all levels. This goal is to raise patriotic citizens – civilizationists – who will represent the future face of the Russian culture. In this context, an educational and business game is considered a robust yet flexible tool that promotes the mass education of the new generation of youth, effectively builds both specialized and basic competencies, and fosters the development of personal and professionally relevant qualities in its participants. This lays a solid foundation for the formation of civilizational and political consciousness among young people.
