The article reviews such a major source regarding the period of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921, as a memoir literature. The article focuses on social communities and publishing houses which became in 1920-s the centers publishing the memoirs. The first memoir works of the leaders of the national Ukrainian movement are considered.
