Smart classrooms in universities in digital era

Smart classroom is a new tendency of the development of education in the digital era. The use of this form of education in modern universities can improve the efficiency of teaching and satisfy the individual requirements of the students. There is presented the author’s comprehension of the concept “smart classroom”, there are analyzed its characteristics and advantages in the digital era. The author substantiates the significant aspects of its usage in modern education. The results of the study can be used with the purpose of further development in the theoretical and practical fields for the teaching reform in universities.
