Management culture of a leader in the social sector: international approaches

The research shows the need to consider the international approaches to dealing with the management culture of a leader in the social sector. Besides, it discusses the importance of further use and adaptation of the best practices in the context of specific environment in Russian social organizations that affect the social welfare and quality of life of the population. The involvement of employees in the development and implementation of social innovations enriches their practical activities, is a resource for motivation and empowerment of the organization in solving various problems, including social and educational challenges. The research presents the types of leaders according to David Rooke and William R. Torbert. It describes the personality traits that are closely associated with successful leadership. The leadership quadrants by Mark Preston are revealed. The modern international approaches to dealing with the theory of leadership served as the basis for developing the self-efficacy assessment maps of leaders in social organizations and were tested during the refresher courses of social workers, social teachers, representatives of non-profit organizations of Tambov region. In addition, the studies on international approaches provided an opportunity for the instructional design of training modules for Social Innovation Bachelor and Master’s Degree programs. The management culture in the context of social innovations under introduction is the major characteristic of leadership for domestic leaders of social organizations, and its components are manifested and evolved while devising and implementing the social projects of self-efficacy and organizations development.
