V. N. Ilyin about character of the Russian literature of the XVIII century

This article is devoted to Vladimir Nikolaevich Ilyin (1891-1974) - the Russian philosopher, the theologian, to the historian of arts and the literary critic. V. N. Ilyin was interested in such aspects of art philosophy as a ratio of religion and creativity, creativity and spiritual culture of the nation and certain personality, the genius nature. He considered all these questions on the example of M.V.Lomonosov, G.R.Derzhavin, V.A.Zhukovsky, A.S.Pushkin, M.Yu.Lermontov, V.S.Solovyov, B.L.Pasternak's poetic creativity, etc., in our opinion having left deep and exact judgments. Not the smaller attention of the scientist was drawn also by what assessment was found by works of the specified poets in the literary critic and science about literature. In this article only that part of V.N.Ilyin`s works which is devoted to poets of the 18th century is analysed.
