Input research in economic subjects as a form to involve the students into education process

The article discusses the theoretical aspects of student involvement in the educational process and the practice of using input research in Russian universities. The authors analyze involvement as a means to enhance the effectiveness of the educational process. The focus of this article is on the use of incoming research as a form of engagement in classes on a new economic subject with the same students. As an example, the authors consider a new coursefor Russian universities, «Behavioural Economics». Its study allows students to form an idea of how decisions are actually made in economics. The authors, based on their teaching experience, show the possibilities of using the introductory study for «Introduction to the subject» and activating students’ interest in the new course.
