Involvement in college activities as a condition for successful adaptation of college students

The article actualizes the problem of finding effective mechanisms for pedagogical support of effective adaptation of first-year students, which determines the success of the professional development of future college graduates. A variant of solving the problem of adaptation of first-year students is proposed, the mechanism of which is the involvement in extracurricular activities. The role of extracurricular activities in the system of pedagogical support of the adaptation of college students is revealed on the example of GAPOU PO “Penza College of Architecture and Engineering”. The main directions of extracurricular activities and their possibilities for optimizing the course of adaptation processes among first-year students are correlated. The results of diagnostics of involvement in extracurricular activities carried out on the basis of Penza College of Architecture and Engineering are presented. In the course of the analysis of the results obtained, the necessity of diagnosing involvement in extra-curricular activities as an important component of the successful adaptation of college students was proved.
