Free access

The quality of education provided by educational institutions depends on many factors. One of the most important factors is the involvement of students in the learning process. This article explores active learning methods that can significantly increase the engagement of students in the learning process, increase the retention of knowledge, and enable students to apply their knowledge to practical problems related to their future professional activities. The article demonstrates the need to study the motivation of applicants for choosing a specialty and a university, the results of which will help to increase the personalization of education (taking into account the personal characteristics and needs of each student). The authors have proposed indicators that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of students’ learning. They have also considered the feasibility of using simulation methods in the educational process, increasing the complexity of tasks as students master the subject.
