Impact of falsification in the information environment on the formation of students' civic position

The article reflects the main aspects of the information environment’s impact on the formation of students’ civic position. Our country’s youth policy emphasizes the patriotic component through historical and moral education, the creation of national youth movements and various activities. The main goal of this article is to analyze the impact of falsification in the information environment on the civic position of students at the St. Petersburg branch of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. To achieve it, the following tasks were formulated: to conduct a sociological study in the St. Petersburg branch of the Financial University among students; to identify the impact of falsification in the information environment on the formation / change of the civic position of students, to draw conclusions about the problem under consideration. In the course of the work, it was revealed that the information environment has a fairly strong impact on youth in terms of the formation of both the system of personal values and civic position. With this in mind, the directions of educational work with students, which will protect students from inaccurate information and increase the independence of their civic mindedness, are outlined.
