Influence of teachers’ anxiety on the effectiveness of their activities

The paper describes the results of the research dealing with the effect of teachers’ increased anxiety on their activities in Ulyanovsk secondary schools. The undertaken experiments prove that the high rates of teachers’ personal anxiety comply with the lower values of work efficiency. It is also emphasized that the teaching effectiveness depends on the degree of teachers’ satisfaction with their activities. It is concluded that there is a need for special correction of professional selection of teachers according to the minimum personal anxiety as a sustainable characteristic for the most effective work.
