Water Legislation of Central Asian Countries: A Comparative Legal Analysis

This article provides a brief overview of the national legislation of Central Asian countries in the field of water use and identifies key challenges and problems related to the transboundary use of water resources. It analyzes the international legal framework for regulating water resources and their implementation into national legal systems. Furthermore, it examines international disputes regarding the use of water bodies and the specifics of their legal settlement. It is emphasized that one of the key mechanisms for resolving contradictions among Central Asian countries, in the context of legally settling disputed issues, is the organization of an effective system of interstate cooperation.
