Russian military schools as an attempt of integrating classic and realistic approaches to secondary education (1863-1882)

The article is devoted to some period in the history of Russian education. The author's goal is to trace the development of aims, problems, content and methods of education in military schools from 1863 to 1882. The military school is shown here as a type of comprehensive secondary school. The article represents views of many prominent pedagogues to the role of military schools in the history of Russian education.
