Military parade as a means of patriotic education of the younger generation in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Guinea

The article is devoted to the problem of developing a sense of patriotism in the younger generation of the two countries. A military parade is considered as one of the means of patriotic education. The features of holding military parades in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Guinea are compared according to ten criteria: timing, purpose, reason for holding, traditions of laying wreaths and flowers, honoring the military banner and the national flag, command of the parade, speeches of the presidents, participation of military equipment, scenario of holding parades, data of a sociological survey. The results of a sociological survey of Guinean and Russian cadets of military schools, aimed at identifying their attitude to parades, are presented. The conclusion is made that military parades are an effective means of patriotic education of the younger generations.
