Military traditions as the basis for the education of the defenders of the fatherland: historical and pedagogical analysis

The paper presents a historical and pedagogical analysis of the education of the defenders of the Fatherland on the military traditions of the Russian army. Based on the analysis of the formation of the Russian state and the Russian army, the main periods of the history of the education of defenders of the Fatherland in glorious martial traditions are highlighted. It is substantiated that the most important historical events related to the need to protect the foundations of the statehood of their Fatherland, its sovereignty in key historical periods, and the highly patriotic and spiritual and moral self-consciousness of the Russian people had a determining influence on the formation of the personality of the Russian warrior. The conclusion is made about the place, role, and significance of the system of traditions in the process of forming the moral and combat qualities of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and it is shown that the combat traditions of the Russian army are a significant and indispensable condition for the development of the army as a whole, allowing the transmission of positive experience of serving the Fatherland to new generations of military personnel.
