The article discusses the trends of changing the type of professional tasks of a teacher in the digital educational environment. The new competencies of the primary general education teacher in the context of the transformation of the processes of digitalization of society are determined. The basic provisions of the most successful concepts of continuous professional improvement of a teacher are disclosed, as well as the modernized functions of a teacher in an electronic information and educational environment are speci ed. The model of teacher involvement to work in a digital environment is described. The target guidelines for the use of electronic resources in the professional activity of a teacher have been established. The problem of the teacher’s readiness for technical support of the pedagogical process and the need to include a new participant in educational relations - a digital volunteer is highlighted.
