Embodying the image of dance in visual arts: a theoretical aspect

The article is devoted to the theoretical understanding of the main components of the study of the embodiment of the image of dance in the visual arts: dance as an object of socio cultural reality, ways of displaying choreographic movement in a work of ne art, the speci cs of the in uence of artistic and style direction on the visualisation of the image of dance. The author points out the importance of the historical and cultural context of dance in its incarnation in the visual arts and traces the development of choreography from ancient rituals to the present day, revealing how the transformation of dance in uenced its artistic representation. It is also noted that dance in the visual arts becomes not just a re ection of reality, but a symbol that conveys the philosophical, social and aesthetic ideas of the time. Various approaches to the depiction of dance movement are analysed in detail, including the use of colour, line, composition and form to convey the rhythm, expression and kinetics of dance. Dance, as a dynamic art, is contrasted with the static nature of the visual arts, revealing the fundamental problem of the instantiation of movement and tempo rality. The article emphasises the importance of artistic style in the representation of dance, noting its predominance in determining the choice of means of expression, as well as its in uence as a conceptual basis for interpreting the image of dance.
