Educating to respect elders among children aged 6-7 in family or preschool educational organization

The paper considers the problem of family and family upbringing of children, reveals the role of the child’s status in the family and its impact on the preservation of a positive microclimate in the family, the nature of the relationship between children, parents and other adult family members, and respectful attitude of children to elders. The contents of the concepts “role status of a preschool child”, “microclimate of the family”, “respect to elders among senior preschool age children” are revealed, the specificity and problems of family socialization of a preschool child are identified. The theoretical significance of the study lies in the development of parenting issues that help form the family role necessary for the child. Practical significance consists in the possibility of using the results in family education, specifying the content of the above concepts, offering recommendations for organizing educational work in the family and in preschool educational organizations.
