Educational function of foreign-language education in the aspect of national identity

The article is considered foreign-language education in the global communication aspect which is carried out by means of a foreign language; the attention is focused on a problem of national security of education system; significant functions of foreign-language education such as cultural-integrating and educational are defined; need of formation of students’ professional identity during vocational training by means of English language resolving the contradiction between the global and national nature of foreign-language education is proved; the expediency of foreign-language education quality assessment by results of linguistic identity education ready to self-fulfillment with a support on national values is reasoned.
