The article considers the relevance of creation of special learning environment at preschool institutions and the value of the educative component. On the basis of the available scientific studies on the problem, the author identifies a number of issues requiring further researches (for instance, insufficient study of the "learning environment" phenomenon in the context of preschool education). The author presents an original definition of "educative potential of learning environment" concept.
