Perception of art by contemporary domestic viewers

This article attempts try to analyse the recipient’s perception of works of contemporary art, using Gordon Pask’s “aesthetically charged” medium as an example (Urs Fischer’s sculpture “Big Clay #4”). Modern Western art and traditional views correlate of the domestic recipient has explored. The phenomenon of perception of art analyzed in terms of the viewer’s experience of art as a component of cultural heritage, as well as in terms of cultural anthropology. The authors argue that postmodern irony and “game” may serve as a positive indicator for the viewer, generating aesthetic experiences (the example of art house cinema). In article has presented that Western contemporary art has not correlated organically with the domestic cultural and mental settings.
