The impact of tourism on the socio-economic development of the region: a comprehensive analysis

This article examines the multifaceted impact of tourism on the socio-economic development of the region. Based on an analysis of modern theoretical approaches and empirical data, key channels of influence are identified: job creation, growth of gross value added, stimulation of related industries, infrastructure transformations, and socio-cultural effects. Particular attention is paid to the regional characteristics that contribute to tourism growth. It concludes that strategic planning and management of tourism are necessary to maximize positive impacts and minimize negative ones.
