Possibilities of using the “mandala” method in diagnosing the psychological well-being of students

The article is focused on the problem of studying the psychological well-being of students. A brief overview of the use of J. Kellogg’s “Mandala” method in psychodiagnostics is given. The diagnostic capabilities of this method for the screening study of psychological well-being of students in school and university practice from the position of the six-factor model of mental well-being by C. Riff are justified. Markers of psychological well-being in the mandala and their significance in the picture of the subject’s current psychological well-being or disadvantage are described. Examples of mandalas of research participants with high and low psychological well-being indexes on the C. Riff “Scale of Psychological Well-being” in the adaptation of T.D. Shevelenkova and P.P. Fesenko are given. The presented experience of application of the “Mandala” method can be useful to specialists of psychological services of educational organizations in preservation and strengthening of psychological well-being and mental health of students.
