Possibilities of greening transport in tourism of the Republic of Mordovia

The article discusses the concept of greening transport, while drawing attention to the importance of greening transport in tourism. This is because transportation services are one of the two main elements of a tourist product. Taking into account the needs of various categories of tourists for quality holidays and a favorable environmental environment, the article discusses some types of ecofriendly transport used in tourism. During the analysis of various approaches to the definition of greening of transport and its tasks, several directions of greening of transport in tourism have been identified. Among them, special attention is paid to such areas as fuel economy and avoiding the use of vehicles with traditional types of engines. The international and Russian experience has been studied, on the basis of which examples of the implementation of measures in the framework of the designated areas are given. The conclusion is made about the peculiarities of using eco-friendly modes of transport for entertainment and transfer transportation of tourists, as well as about carrying out environmental measures. Based on the experience studied, the possibilities of holding such events in the Republic of Mordovia in order to develop tourism in the region are considered. Non-traditional eco-friendly modes of transport and electric modes of transport (trolleybuses, electric cars) in tourist transportation in the territory of Mordovia are separately noted as the most promising. The activities within the framework of the organizational direction of greening transport in tourism are also outlined. The author identifies some problems and makes recommendations for the development of greening transport in tourism in Mordovia.
