E-learning opportunities in foreign language teaching while training bachelors

The article analyzes the e-learning opportunities for learning foreign languages with the focus on vocational training during Bachelor's Degree Program at the non-language university. The paper notes the significance of developing textual and information competency in students. To identify the effective ways to integrate e-learning into foreign language teaching in non-linguistic departments, the authors determine their basic features which include regular information update and communication at any distance. The article defines the specific characteristics of written communication in social networks and services because being a written form of communication, it possesses the features of oral communication as well. Information technology enables interdisciplinary relations. The study emphasizes the necessity to use interdisciplinary relations in order to develop systemic thinking among students.
