The possibilities of radionuclide research in assessing the motor function of the gastrointestinal tract after various types of gastric surgery

The article presents data on the possibilities of gastrointestinal motor function assessment using radionuclide method of investigation in patients after surgical treatment of gastric cancer. We present a technique to analyze such parameters as the rate of esophageal transit, the presence or absence of esophageal reflux, its duration, gastric stump elimination half-life, transit through the small and large intestine. Statistical data for these indicators are given for various modifications of surgical intervention on the gastrointestinal tract.
