Additional analysis of medical images using modern computer applications is an urgent and promising topic in radiation diagnostics. With the help of textural analysis, the authors have developed a new integral indicator sensitive to the microstructure of bone metastasis tissue, reflecting the numerical value of intra-tumor heterogeneity estimated by magnetic resonance imaging. The use of intensity values on T2VI, ADC maps and the coefficient of structural heterogeneity makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of differential diagnosis betweenphysiological conditions of the bone marrow and pathological changes, such as various types of metastatic lesions, as well as hemangiomas.
