Glitch art manifestos are structurally important for glitch culture. In their manifestos glitch artists formulate general principles declared on resistance to capitalist protocol formats, which makes it possible to establish glitch art as an unique program of resistance to normalized user protocol behavior. In these manifestos glitch extends its aesthetic field as participating in the digital politics and defining the cultural expectations linked to this form of art. The article proves that glitch manifestos go back to modernist and neo-avant-garde samples, pointing to the typological closeness of the development of both. Along with it, it demonstrates that glitch manifestos are to intensify the pragmatic side of the implementation of glitch art due to new opportunities for network and post-network interaction. Glitch manifestos introduce glitch art as an integral part of culture of the information society, expressed in a truly anti-capitalist mood, where the general aim of the glitch phenomenon is still to unveil the sincere technological world of things to the user. Thus, glitch art expresses the cultural essence and philosophy of technology, techno-being as a mood of existence of contemporary post-industrial culture, and its limitations.
