Identification of the relationship between the level of development of emotional intelligence and the formation of self-identity in a mixed-age sample

The relevance of identifying correlations between self-identification and emotional intelligence of a person is substantiated. Definitions and description of the structure of emotional intelligence and self-identification are presented. The course and results of an experimental study aimed at confirming the hypothesis about the interdependence of the level of development of emotional intelligence and the level of formation of self-identity by an individual are described. Based on the results of the subjects passing the test for the development of emotional intelligence (D.V. Lyusin, D.V. Ushakov) and the ability to identify themselves with a certain social role or position (test “Who am I?”, M. Kuhn), a conclusion is made about the interdependence of the level of formation of self-identification and the level of development of emotional intelligence, as well as the specifics of this relationship.
