Evidence of civil identity components among inhabitants of different regions of Russia

The purpose of this paper is to analyze civil identity evidence and its components among the inhabitants of different regions of Russia, namely Sverdlovsk, Kemerovo and Amur regions. Features of belonging to regional commonality and respondents’ awareness of such self-determination are being analyzed at the theoretical and empirical levels. An empiric research of civil identity features and relationship between its components and psychological safety evidence of respondents from 3 regions has been undertaken. The relevance of the research consists in a fact that regional identity determines social categorization of entities and should include a range of predictors providing a state of psychological safety of residents of any region of Russian Federation. Innovation of this research lies in the attempt to conduct a comparative analysis of 3 different regions with reference to territorial peculiarities of respondents’ accommodation.
