Pulling as a basic principle of developing lean thinking in an end-to-end flow

Despite government support measures, labor productivity at Russian enterprises does not meet the demands of modern business, which is interested in minimizing the adaptation time for new employees to the peculiarities of production systems. This leads to an update of the strategic objectives of the education system, which updates new approaches, forms and methods of organizing teaching activities, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of graduates of secondary vocational education. The importance of developing lean thinking is emphasized by its inclusion in the content of general competencies. The ecosystem approach to education determines the direction of research into new methods of forming leaders in the educational sector and the vector of their activities. The article examines the system-forming role of the pull principle, which makes it possible to quickly adapt the educational process to the real demand of the regional sector of the economy. Analysts of the production system of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom recommend launching through flows to solve the assigned problems. The formation of lean thinking among all participants in the end-to-end interorganizational flow is a reflection of the strategic vision in the training and education of students, trainees, and pupils and allows turning the project into specific operational activities. The ecosystem approach to describing an end-to-end flow determines the presentation of its development strategy and tactics, principles of formation, analysis of the structure, characteristics of the main elements and the identification of logical connections between them. A brief description of the stages can become a standard for educational organizations at various levels. The article provides an analysis of the results of two pilot end-to-end flows “Employer - SPO - LLC - DOO”, implemented in 2023 in the Chelyabinsk region within the framework of the “Effective Region” project. Their goals are highlighted, forms of work and results of activity are described. The tools and methods of lean technologies are revealed that form a competitive graduate of secondary vocational education, quickly adapting to the specifics of the production system, working consciously, with high quality, without losses. The described experience of developing lean thinking among all participants in end-to-end flows in the Chelyabinsk region in 2023 using the pull principle was recognized as successful by the Coordination Council for the implementation of lean technologies in the education system of the Chelyabinsk region (hereinafter referred to as the Coordination Council). It was decided to continue work in this direction in the next calendar year.
