Based on the analysis of legal documents, the paper substantiates the relevance of considering the problems of interaction of family and school as educational institutions in the new socio-pedagogical realities. The study reveals the socio-pedagogical and psychological-pedagogical reasons that determined the contradictions in the interactions of family and school in modern conditions. The authors consider the goal, objectivies and principles of the organization and implementation of this interaction, the stages of interaction of family and school: motivational, diagnostic, communicative-active, reflective. Special attention is paid to the characterization of the main directions and forms of interaction. The work also shows perspectives of forms of interaction between family and school based on the use of information and communication technologies. The research presents the criteria and levels of evaluating the effectiveness of this interaction, the conditions for its effective implementation. A graphic model of interaction of family and school in modern conditions is given.
