The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between suicidal activity in adolescents and styles of family education. 65 adolescents and their parents were examined. The results obtained suggest that the formation of suicidal thoughts and intentions in adolescents is in uenced by the type of upbringing of the child in the family. Correlations between indicators of suicidal activity and styles of parenting were revealed. The formation of a trusting relationship between parents and a teenager, the formation of a child’s understanding of their own value and signi cance, orientation to the child’s personality, recognition of his independence and independence, as well as an open demonstration of support and love by parents for their child help a teenager learn to cope with stressful situations and reduce negative emotional background. And, on the contrary, the lack of proper attention to your child, an insu ciently serious attitude to his problems and experiences, the detached behavior of parents, as well as an increased level of demands on a teenager can become factors that increase the likelihood of suicidal thoughts and intentions in him
