Borrowing as one of the ways of the formation of regional terms

The article is devoted to the problem of borrowing in a multicultural space. The conducted research shows that the borrowing of words by the recipient language can be initiated by the interaction of ethnocultural stereotypes. Various modifications in the system of stereotypes are reflected in the vocabulary of both languages, it is replenished not only by the birth of new words, but also by borrowings. At the basis of borrowing may lie the processes of interpenetration of ethnostereotypes, which are inevitable in a polyethnic space. Adapted borrowings in the regional variant of the Russian language function in one of the remaining values, are formalized using affixes of a conversational style. Interaction of ethnocultural stereotypes can provoke the formation of polysemant in one of the contacting languages without borrowing. The work emphasizes that borrowing words related to ethnocultural stereotypes is one of the reasons for the acquisition of regional features by the language.
